Plus, we often dream about unusual things. For instance, you will be with a person from your childhood that you didn’t speak with from a very long time. Or it can be a repeatable dream, that you always have.
You can recognize that you are in a dream exactly with the help of your dream symbols/signs!

Be sure to keep a dream journal. It will help you to form an idea of your dream signs. Moreover, it will be easier for you to realize that you are dreaming.
2. Practice meditation
Meditating is very powerful for lucid dreaming, yet, not a lot of people are aware of it.
It is a simple way to improve your awareness, both in the real and dream world.
The best part is that you can start TODAY and will take only 10 minutes from your day (of course that is just the minimum, you can meditate as long as you wish).
The essential connection between meditation and lucid dreaming is that in both cases, you aim to reach a high self-awareness.
Meditation is one of the best ways to become mindful. It is one of the easiest ways to experience regular lucid dreams since it will create a mental habit of being fully aware of your surrounding.
Practicing mindfulness is highly recommended, since the more frequent and deep meditation you can fit into your daily habit, the easier you will be able to recognize when you are dreaming.

Melatonin is very important for our normal sleep patterns since it regulates our sleep-wake cycle.
High melatonin levels positively affect the quality of our dreams and it promotes the success of lucid dreaming.

You can increase your levels of melatonin naturally by:
Going to sleep and waking up at a similar time every day.
Sleeping in complete darkness helps our body produce more natural melatonin – you can easily do that through the use of a sleeping mask
Eating more foods that stimulate melatonin production, such as – light and dark mustard, almonds, sunflower seeds, flax seeds, cherries.

6. Make a dream pillow
Dream pillows are a great way to get a better and more relaxing sleep. Plus, they are an almost effortless method that promotes vivid dreams.
Moreover, specific essential oils have been regularly associated with enhanced dream recall, better sleep, and stronger visualization capability – all of these are closely associated with lucid dreaming.
The best part is that making a dream pillow is simple. You have to simply infuse a pillow with a specific smell.
ACTION STEP:
To make a dream pillow, you will need just two things: 1) a pillow and 2) a specific essential oil:

8. Eat lucid dream foods
A lot of different, and sometimes odd things can affect our dreams.
FOOD is one of them!
Because of the nutrient content of specific foods, they can naturally enhance your dreams!
Some can boost your dream recall and you can start dreaming more vivid. You should look for foods that are rich in – vitamin B6, tryptophan, choline bitartrate.

10. Exercise/Yoga
It is well known that an exercise routine can improve sleep quality.
What is more, your body heat dramatically rises when you workout – then it slowly cools down for several hours. This steady drop in core body temperature signals the brain that it’s time to go to bed.
When it comes to lucid dreaming, the best choice is practicing yoga!
The yoga state is associated with relaxation, being in the moment, and increased awareness.
Interestingly, a national survey found that over 55% of yoga users reported improved sleep!
Yoga promotes the production of melatonin, which encourages a good night’s sleep & enhances our dreams.
